Redeemer University College Selects V-smart

Framingham, MA, June 2, 2009. Infor announced today that Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, has selected V-smart, Infor's web-based integrated library system. The Peter Turkstra Library at Redeemer University College selected V-smart for both its cost effectiveness and scalable design, which provides students and faculty personalized access to the Library's collections, online learning materials and coursework.

“The system was of particular interest to the Library as it enables faculty to effectively manage and present curriculum and course material to students as well as integrate with Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs). As a relatively small institution, the Library also required a cost effective solution that, at the same time, offers staff and Library users a true next-generation interface. We are pleased that V-smart met and exceeded the Library's requirements and we look forward to implementing the system in the weeks ahead,” says Ellen Isaacson, general manager North American Library Division, Infor.

The Peter Turkstra Library is available to university staff, faculty and students as well as to community borrowers. Established in 1982, the collection currently includes approximately 93,000 monographs, 400 journal titles, the 4000 volume Pascal and Custance collections devoted to the relation of science and faith, an extensive Dutch collection, a collection of rare books, 1,900 CDs and 915 videos and DVDs.
